Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 6-week travel assignment requiring strong ortho, general, and GYN scrub or circulator skills with Epic proficiency.
Details
- Surgical Services unit in a hospital setting
- 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Sunday with no block scheduling
- 6-week contract
- Flexibility required with a minimum of every other weekend worked, or schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
- Two call shifts required per week, with on-call every 3–5 weekends as needed
- Strong experience in ortho and eye service lines preferred; strong general, ortho, and GYN experience is essential
- Scrub experience highly preferred; strong circulators will also be considered
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active VT or Compact RN license required; candidates without a VT license will be considered, and NY license candidates will be reviewed with proof of pending licensure
- Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required — non-negotiable
- Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required: at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Complete work history including bed count, EMR, and facility type required
Additional Information
- Public transportation is not accessible in this area; reliable personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
- Candidates must be available to start within one week
- All employment gaps exceeding 90 days must be explained in work history
- Candidates living more than 50 miles from the facility are eligible for travel pay rates; those within 50 miles or fewer are considered local
- Distance is measured by straight line, not driving distance
