Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- 10-bed Medical ICU (MICU) within a 426-bed short-term acute care hospital that is part of the Yale New Haven Health System
- Level II Trauma Center designation
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend is required
- Floating required as needed
- Charting is done in Epic (experience required)
- Free parking available on-site
Requirements
- Active CT or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
- Epic EMR experience required
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
- Candidates must not have any prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Former permanent staff of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility
- Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
- COVID vaccination and booster are required, with religious or medical exemptions considered
- Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
