Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown (Neuro Intermediate) position requiring ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale certification, and Epic EMR experience for a 13-week night shift contract.

Details

• 12-bed neuro intermediate/stepdown unit applying critical care and neuroscience principles
• Patient population includes neuro ICU step-downs, subarachnoid/intraventricular/intracerebral hemorrhage, neuro trauma, ENT oncology (tumor resection with flap reconstruction), post-operative spine, and a broad range of neurological conditions
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (48 hours per week), 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Floating required per facility float policy
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required; pending VA license accepted for consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide intermediate-level neuro and critical care nursing to a complex stepdown patient population
• Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must allow 12 months to pass before returning as a traveler
