Description

American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Technologist for a Peripheral Vascular Lab position requiring 3-4 years of vascular experience and ARDMS or CCI certification.

Details

• Peripheral Vascular Lab setting within an acute care hospital
• 4x10 hour shifts per week — Monday/Tuesday 7:30 AM–6:00 PM and Friday/Saturday 9:30 AM–8:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• No on-call required
• Weekend work is required as part of the regular schedule
• Holiday coverage may be required

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-4 years of vascular ultrasound experience
• Accredited Associate's Degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field, OR completion of a 12-month ultrasound program
• Current BLS certification required
• One of the following certifications required: RDCS or RVT through ARDMS, or RCS, ACS, or RCCS through CCI
• License required if applicable
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs vascular ultrasound evaluations using Doppler and physiologic testing
• Writes preliminary reports and communicates acute findings to the care team
• Obtains patient health history prior to each examination
• Responsible for procedure room and equipment preparation between cases, including troubleshooting and reporting equipment issues
• May assist with staff training and education
• Background check and drug screen are required; candidates should be prepared to complete the drug screen within 24 hours of accepting the assignment
