Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 1 year of L&D experience, C-section circulation competency, and active CO or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit at an acute care hospital in Grand Junction, CO
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Seven weekend shifts per eight-week period; for night shift, weekends are defined as Friday night and Saturday night, requiring a combination of seven Fridays/Saturdays
- Three 12-hour on-call shifts required per eight-week period
- Floating to Postpartum required based on business need
- Nurses are expected to circulate their own C-sections
- Epic used for charting
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CO single-state or compact RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
- Minimum 1 year of L&D experience required
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required (ASN minimum; BSN preferred)
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and either AWHONN or C-EFM — all must not expire prior to the contract start date
- Comfortable circulating C-sections independently
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care; performing health teaching and counseling; executing delegated medical functions; and documenting per hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Former permanent Intermountain employees must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- BSN and Epic experience are preferred
