Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 13-week outpatient/acute inpatient contract in Arizona, with at least 1 year of experience and active BLS certification required.

Details

• Outpatient and acute inpatient physical therapy setting
• Patient population includes general orthopedic, neurological, BPPV, vestibular, and falls diagnoses
• Typical caseload of 8–10 patients per day
• Charting performed in Cerner EMR
• Day shifts with hours varying between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM, typically 8-hour shifts
• No holiday coverage required; weekend requirements to be specified
• PTAs are available to support the department

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Active PT license required if applicable; pending licenses will not be accepted
• Active BLS certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted
• EMR experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Orientation includes introduction to the environment, departmental processes, and Cerner EMR
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates, as determined by permanent address on driver's license
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through an outside staffing firm will be considered
• No specific scrub color requirement currently in place
