Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR Charge RN for a weekend Operating Room position requiring a minimum of 3 years of OR circulator experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Hospital Operating Room setting
  • Weekend charge nurse position with day shifts (6:15 AM – 6:45 PM, 3x12-hour shifts)
  • Requires proficiency across multiple surgical specialties: General, Colorectal, GU, GYN, Ortho, Neuro, and ENT
  • Weekend shifts are worked independently
  • On-call responsibilities are required
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active LA or Compact RN license required
  • All certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Minimum 3 years of OR circulator experience required
  • Charge nurse experience in a similarly large facility required
  • Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted
  • RTO requests must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
  • This position is located in a hurricane-prone region; staff may be assigned to an Emergency Team requiring them to shelter in place or serve on a relief team during storm events — candidates uncomfortable with this should not apply
  • 13-week contract
