Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN for a 13-week travel contract at a Level 1 Trauma facility in Broward County, FL, requiring at least 2 years of recent tele experience and an active FL or Compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital telemetry unit setting at a Level 1 Trauma facility
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Floating to other telemetry floors required as needed
• Epic EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (both via AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry experience required
• Level 1 Trauma center experience required
• Experience must be consecutive within the past 24 months in a US hospital
• Degree must be from an accredited school, or from an institution approved by the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON) with 2 years of recent acute care experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proof of vaccination status required — declinations not accepted

Additional Information

• A Basic Arrhythmia (EKG) assessment is required; candidates must pass with a 100% score on the lethal rhythm section
• If the initial assessment is not passed, a retake dysrhythmia exam must be completed within 24 hours and passed with an overall Angoff score of 83% or greater, 100% on the lethal rhythm section, and 83% on all other sections
• Study guides and tips to assist with arrhythmia testing are available through the facility's online orientation portal
• This is a smoke-free facility
• Local candidates residing within a 60-mile radius of the facility are eligible to apply at a reduced rate
