Description

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with 1+ year of experience, ARRT (R)(M) certification, and active state licensure for a 13-week travel assignment in Murray, UT.

Details

• Mammography department setting within an acute care facility
• 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, with 2 Saturdays required during the contract
• 40 hours per week
• Charting performed in Epic EMR
• Performs advanced mammography procedures including stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, and drainages

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in mammography
• ARRT (R)(M) certification required
• Active UT state Radiology/Mammography license required (license required if applicable)
• Current AHA BLS certification required (must not expire prior to start date)
• Must meet and maintain ARRT Advanced Mammography Certification
• Must meet and maintain ACR FDA/MQSA mammography-specific requirements
• HS Diploma or GED required
• A personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) is required for this assignment
• DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
• Physical demands include lifting, pulling/pushing, standing, walking, and manual dexterity

Additional Information

• Performs radiographic mammography procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images for detection of breast tissue abnormalities
• Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and patient preparation prior to exams
• Educates patients on breast self-examination through verbal guidance and written materials
• Applies radiation protection protocols in compliance with ALARA program requirements
• Maintains records in accordance with JCAHO and Utah State Bureau of Radiation Control standards, including thorough documentation, time stamps, and image storage
• Operates with a high degree of independent judgment, creativity, and initiative without constant supervision
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from this facility system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
