Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel CT Tech / Rad Tech (Multimodality) for a free-standing ED setting, requiring ARRT certification, BLS, and proficiency in both CT and diagnostic radiology.
Details
- Position is based in a free-standing emergency department with no outpatient or inpatient imaging
- 1 CT/Rad Tech per shift handling an average of 10–20 CT and radiography exams per shift
- Procedures include routine CT and diagnostic X-ray for an ED patient population
- Equipment includes GE 64-Slice CT, GE Digital X-ray, and GE portable X-ray
- Charting is performed in Meditech
- Schedule is Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (nights)
- 2 on-call shifts required per month
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT/Rad Tech, with active experience within the last 6 months
- ARRT certification required
- SC Radiologic Technology license (SCQRSA) required — license required if applicable
- CT certification preferred; CT experience and knowledge required
- Current BLS (AHA or ARC accepted)
- Proficiency in both CT and diagnostic radiology required
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
Additional Information
- Perform routine CT and diagnostic X-ray procedures in a fast-paced, free-standing ED environment
- Must be comfortable working independently, as staffing is 1 tech per shift
- Charcoal grey scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
