Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position in Nashville, TN, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and certifications including AWHONN Intermediate (or CEFM), NRP, ACLS, and BLS.

Details

• Located in the Women's and Children's building at a hospital in Nashville, TN
• Labor & Delivery unit with 12 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Unit is staffed with RNs, a unit secretary, and OR techs
• Documentation systems: CPN and Meditech
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• 3 weekend shifts required per scheduling period
• 1 on-call shift required per scheduling period for RNs
• Travelers float first per unit floating policy
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, American Academy of Pediatrics card), and AWHONN Intermediate — not advanced — or CEFM/NCCEFM
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Experience caring for laboring patients, newborns immediately post-delivery, and circulating/recovering C-section patients
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Additional Information

• Procedures performed on unit include vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&Cs, cerclages, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor
• Scrubs are not provided by the facility; candidates must wear ceil blue, navy blue, or gray scrubs
• All certifications must be from AHA or ARC and must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
