Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Med/Surg (4th Floor Cardiac/Nephrology) night shift position at a Level 1 trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center in Nashville, TN, requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least 2 years of recent med/surg experience.

- Located on the 4th Floor Cardiac/Nephrology unit (34-bed unit) of a hospital in Nashville, TN
- Patient population includes cardiac and nephrology patients
- Patient ratio is 6:1
- Unit is supported by a unit secretary on day shift and PCTs on all shifts
- Documentation system is Meditech
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Weekend requirement of 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period
- Floating to other departments is required based on census and staffing needs
- 13-week travel contract
Requirements
- Active RN license — TN or compact license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- Minimum 2 years of recent med/surg RN experience required
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
- At least one professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- The facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Navy scrubs are required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
