Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Burn ICU (PCU) position in Nashville, TN, requiring BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification with at least 2 years of experience.

Details

• Located in Nashville, TN at an acute care hospital
• Burn ICU unit (12-bed unit) with PCU-level patients
• ICU patient ratio: 2:1; Med/Surg and PCU patient ratio: 4:1
• Unit is staffed with a Charge RN, RNs, and PCTs
• Equipment used includes ventilators, specialty beds, and occasional CRRT
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Contract labor floats first per facility floating policy

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a PCU or Burn/ICU setting
• Med/Surg experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• At least one professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Navy scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Meditech EMR experience is beneficial given the unit's documentation system
