Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a night shift contract at a Level I Trauma, academic medical center in the St. Louis area.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 1,259 staffed beds, operating as a Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• Inpatient and outpatient CT scanning environment handling high-complexity cases
• Required CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
• Preferred CT procedures include aspirations/biopsies, brain perfusion, colonography, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, and transplant studies
• All Siemens scanner equipment used throughout the department
• Charting is performed in Epic
• 4x10 hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• No on-call requirement
• Floating within clinical scope per facility policy may be required; no floating to sister facilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT technologist experience required
• ARRT (CT) certification required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current MO State License required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings required
• Proficiency with PACS and contrast administration required
• Experience with Siemens scanners preferred
• Level I Trauma or large acute care hospital experience preferred
• Experience with IV starts, portables, and biopsies preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrub colors are black, red, or white
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract, with no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees of this facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Allied travelers may remain on assignment for up to 12 months, after which a 6-month break in service is required
• Monthly parking passes are available at various locations near the facility; night shift workers park at no charge in employee parking
