Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a night shift contract at a Level I Trauma, academic medical center in the St. Louis area.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 1,259 staffed beds, operating as a Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital
- Inpatient and outpatient CT scanning environment handling high-complexity cases
- Required CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
- Preferred CT procedures include aspirations/biopsies, brain perfusion, colonography, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, and transplant studies
- All Siemens scanner equipment used throughout the department
- Charting is performed in Epic
- 4x10 hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- No on-call requirement
- Floating within clinical scope per facility policy may be required; no floating to sister facilities
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT technologist experience required
- ARRT (CT) certification required and must be in hand at time of consideration
- Current MO State License required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings required
- Proficiency with PACS and contrast administration required
- Experience with Siemens scanners preferred
- Level I Trauma or large acute care hospital experience preferred
- Experience with IV starts, portables, and biopsies preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrub colors are black, red, or white
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract, with no RTO during the first week of orientation
- Former permanent employees of this facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Allied travelers may remain on assignment for up to 12 months, after which a 6-month break in service is required
- Monthly parking passes are available at various locations near the facility; night shift workers park at no charge in employee parking
