Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT-R certification for a 13-week contract position.

Details

• Inpatient hospital MRI unit setting
• Patient populations include adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, pediatric acute care, pediatric outpatient, and ER/trauma
• Imaging coverage includes brain and cranial nerves, spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacrum/coccyx, spinal trauma), MSK (shoulder, knee, hip, hand, foot, upper and lower extremity long bones, sternum, TMJ), abdomen, male and female pelvis, chest, MR aortogram, head MRA/MRV, neck MRV, orbits, and face/soft tissue neck
• Uses GE equipment and PACS
• Epic EMR preferred
• 5x8 evening shifts, Monday–Friday, 12:30 PM–8:30 PM
• No call, no weekends, and no holidays required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience
• ARRT-R and BLS required; MRI certification preferred
• State license required if applicable
• Proficiency with GE MRI equipment and PACS
• Experience with T-1 and T-2 weighted imaging, contrast media preparation and administration, and starting peripheral IVs
• Familiarity with isolation precautions/PPE and radiation safety protocols
• Experience across adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, ER/trauma, and pediatric settings preferred
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of MRI exams including neurological, musculoskeletal, abdominal, pelvic, vascular, and spinal studies
• Responsibilities include contrast media preparation and administration, peripheral IV starts, and adherence to radiation safety and isolation precaution protocols
• Leadership or management experience is a plus
