Description
American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 12-week travel assignment in an acute care physical therapy unit in Aventura, FL.
Details
- Located in the Physical Therapy department of a 467-bed acute care hospital, including a 26-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF)
- Shift hours are 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; day shift hours may also include 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM schedules
- Rotating weekend coverage required
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Equipment used includes treadmills, car simulators, RT300, Bioness systems, and BITS
- Documentation system: Meditech
- 12-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent physical therapy experience, with active clinical work within the past 6 months
- Active Florida PT license required; license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
- Two professional references required for Florida-based candidates
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates will be considered
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Treatment sessions are approximately 1.5 hours in length; responsibilities include attending team conferences
- IRF or SNF experience is preferred
- Unit is staffed by approximately 40 PT professionals
- Light gray scrubs required
