Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a weekend overnight night shift position requiring ARRT certification with advanced CT certification and experience in CT scanning, contrast administration, and image processing.

Details

• Hospital-based CT Scan department
• 12-hour overnight weekend shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
• No on-call required
• Holiday coverage required on an every-other-holiday (EOH) basis
• EMR used: Epic and PACS (IMPAX)

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science
• ARRT registration or registry-eligible candidates must provide a copy of diploma from an accredited program; registry-eligible candidates must obtain registration within one year
• Advanced ARRT certification in CT required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Proficiency with CT scanning protocols, multi-planar and 3D reconstruction, and CT algorithms
• Experience with IV line establishment, IV and oral contrast administration, and contrast eligibility determination
• Experience with PACS operation, image transmission, and QC station verification
• License required if applicable
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform CT procedures including image acquisition, multi-planar and 3D reconstruction, and window/level adjustments per protocol
• Administer oral and IV contrast to adult and pediatric patients, check appropriate lab values, and determine contrast eligibility prior to injection
• Manage image transmission to PACS, Epic, and QC station; verify image accuracy and completeness using IMPAX service tools
• Verify patient identification, document pregnancy status for patients of childbearing age, and ensure demographic accuracy on all PACS images
• Manage order workflow including completing, modifying, or canceling orders and preventing duplicate billing
• Maintain a clean work environment, document incidents as improvement opportunities, and precept new employees and students
