Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a 13-week travel contract in McKinney, TX, requiring at least 1 year of OR experience including Neuro and Ortho/Spine, with a schedule of Wednesday through Friday day shifts.

Details

• Work in a 7-suite surgical OR department within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio is 1:1
• Procedures performed include ortho, neuro, robotics, general, trauma, and urology
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
• On-call is required approximately 10–15 days per month for this CV position
• EMR system is Meditech
• Hospital-provided scrubs are worn each day

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience required; L&D-only OR experience is not applicable
• Neuro and Ortho/Spine OR experience is required
• Trauma center experience is preferred
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Team includes a charge RN, 6–7 staff RNs, 6–7 CSTs, orderlies, and anesthesia techs on day shift
• Ideal candidates are team players with a positive attitude
• Trauma center experience is a plus and will be given preference during candidate review
