Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Travel RN for an Emergency Department position on nights, requiring a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and active NE or compact RN license.

Details

• Emergency Department setting staffed 24/7 with a physician on duty at all times
• Serves a patient population of approximately 10,000 people
• 12-hour night shifts
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NE RN license or multistate compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of professional nursing experience required; at least 1 year of ER experience preferred
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Ability to lift 20–50 lbs and perform patient lifting/transfers as needed
• Full range of motion and fine motor skills required for patient care and equipment operation
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include triaging patients, providing acute and critical care, administering medications and IV fluids, blood transfusions, and wound care
• Operates and monitors specialized medical equipment
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
• Initiates and manages patient education plans as directed by the physician
• Must maintain punctuality and regular attendance for all assigned shifts
