Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in an acute care hospital setting, with first-time travelers welcome and a schedule of 4x10-hour day shifts.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting in an Interventional Radiology unit
- 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- On-call required approximately 10 shifts per month, including weekend call
- Weekend call required every 3rd or 4th weekend
- Patient population spans pediatric through geriatric
- Charting in Cerner (experience required)
- Travelers may be required to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of Interventional Radiology Tech experience required
- ARRT(R) certification required
- Current BLS certification required (AHA or RQI accepted)
- Active Indiana or Compact state license required (pending license accepted if applied)
- Knowledge of sterile technique and supplies used during special procedures
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Ability to maneuver equipment and adapt patient positioning based on clinical needs
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Performs diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic procedures for radiological diagnosis across a pediatric through geriatric patient population
- Follows physician instructions, prepares and operates equipment, and positions patients correctly to obtain requested diagnostic images
- May be required to scrub into procedures as needed
- May be required to obtain an advanced credential in Interventional Radiology, if applicable
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted for this Allied/IR position
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Former permanent or PRN employees of this facility must have been away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
