Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Travel RN for a Cardiac Telemetry Float Pool position requiring a minimum of 18 months of true telemetry experience and Cerner proficiency.

Details

• Cardiac Telemetry Float Pool in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating is required as part of this role
• Cerner EMR experience required
• 13-week contract
• Must be willing to care for COVID-positive patients

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS; TNCC preferred
• Minimum 18 months of true telemetry experience required, including cardiac experience
• Hands-on experience with titrating drips, pre/post cardiac cath patients, and sheath management required
• Cerner EMR experience required — no exceptions
• Prior travel nursing experience required — no exceptions
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients, including those requiring drip titration and pre/post cardiac catheterization monitoring
• Travelers must pass an EKG exam on orientation day with a score of 80% or higher, covering lethal rhythms — this is a mandatory requirement
• Telemetry placements require completion of 8 cardiac CEUs and 8 stroke CEUs
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Block scheduling will not be added to the contract
• Time off requests submitted after hiring will not be approved
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
