Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a night shift travel position at a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of trauma OR experience and a Maine or compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based OR setting at a 37-bed Level 1 Trauma Center
- Night shift hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 13-week contract
- Expected to circulate in multiple service lines including General, GU/GYN, Orthopedics, Ortho Trauma, Neurosurgery, open vascular, ENT, Dental, Pediatric Surgery, and Da Vinci Robotics
- Weekend requirement: 1 in 4, 12-hour shifts
- Float requirement: candidates may be required to float between facilities within a 25-mile radius as needed
Requirements
- Active ME RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of OR trauma experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Charge RN experience is a plus
- Valid Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration

- Candidates must be flexible, accountable, a team player, and punctual
- Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this at the time of application
- Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (in Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and are subject to a different bill rate
- Local candidates are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
- Personal electronic devices including AirPods, laptops, and cell phones are prohibited on the unit
- Travel pairs or groups will not be considered for this position
