Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Henderson, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and current Fetal Monitoring certification.

Details

• OB/GYN Combined unit in a Joint Commission accredited hospital with 205 licensed beds
• 16-bed Labor & Delivery unit with patient ratios per AWHONN guidelines
• Experience with couplet care, LDRP, and some NICU experience required for this unit
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Approximately 5–6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• No scheduled call, but staff may be flexed down based on unit census
• Floating is not required, but may occasionally float to a task/secretary role as needed
• EMR: GE Centricity/Paragon

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP, and Fetal Monitoring (intermediate level at minimum; advanced accepted)
• AHA-issued certifications required
• Couplet care and LDRP experience required
• Some NICU experience required
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

• 13-week contract
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• This is a Duke LifePoint hospital with an 'A' rating from the LeapFrog Hospital Safety Program
