Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Henderson, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and current Fetal Monitoring certification.
Details
- OB/GYN Combined unit in a Joint Commission accredited hospital with 205 licensed beds
- 16-bed Labor & Delivery unit with patient ratios per AWHONN guidelines
- Experience with couplet care, LDRP, and some NICU experience required for this unit
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Approximately 5–6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- No scheduled call, but staff may be flexed down based on unit census
- Floating is not required, but may occasionally float to a task/secretary role as needed
- EMR: GE Centricity/Paragon
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP, and Fetal Monitoring (intermediate level at minimum; advanced accepted)
- AHA-issued certifications required
- Couplet care and LDRP experience required
- Some NICU experience required
- Social Security number required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
- Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
Additional Information
- 13-week contract
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
- This is a Duke LifePoint hospital with an 'A' rating from the LeapFrog Hospital Safety Program
