Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU/Step-Down position in Urbana, IL, requiring Epic EMR experience and Level 1 Trauma background.
Details
- Located in a hospital setting on a Cardiovascular Step-Down/ICU unit (CV Step-Down/CVICU)
- Patient population includes post-op CABG, vascular, and ICU-status patients
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- 5–6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
- Holiday coverage on a departmental rotation basis
- No floating requirements
Requirements
- Active IL RN license in good standing required; temporary license accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include direct care of CVICU patients, nursing interventions, hourly rounding, and patient/family-centered care planning
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation and collaborates with the broader healthcare team
- Takes an active role in patient and staff safety reporting
- Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with this health system for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the system
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
- Candidate interviews are conducted by facility leadership
