Description

American Traveler is hiring a Multimodality CT Technologist (X-Ray & CT) for a 13-week night shift contract at a freestanding emergency and imaging center in South Carolina, requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• 11-bed freestanding emergency and imaging center with one X-ray room, portable X-ray, and CT — staffed by one multimodality technologist per 12-hour shift
• Performs both CT scans and general radiographic (X-ray) exams
• Night shifts: Thursday–Saturday, 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
• On-call rotation shared among staff; weekend work may be required if shifts are not filled during on-call periods
• Charting via Epic
• Free parking on-site

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a registered Radiological Technologist with CT experience
• ARRT (R)(CT) and SCRQSA (R)(CT) certification required
• AHA BLS/CPR certification required
• Must have satisfactorily completed an AMA-approved school of radiological technology
• SC state license required if applicable; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered, but must be fully licensed before starting
• Radiation dosimetry badge required — must be provided by the agency, as the facility does not supply badges to travelers
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Obtains patient history, explains procedures, and addresses patient concerns as part of routine imaging workflow
• Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the assignment begins (approximately 4 hours)
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Former permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are considered on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; approval is subject to facility needs
• Attendance policy is in effect: missing more than 2 shifts during a 13-week contract without medical documentation or reasonable explanation may result in contract review
• Scrub colors required: black pants and teal top
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September
