Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in Hickory, NC, requiring at least 1 year of OR experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 13-bed Operating Room at a 355-bed Duke LifePoint hospital specializing in orthopedics, neurology, general & vascular surgery, surgical weight loss, and more
• Primarily adult patient population with minimal outpatient pediatric cases
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Schedule is four 10-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 5:15 PM)
• Call requirement of 7 days per month, including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
• Weekends are call-only
• No floating required
• Specialized equipment includes Da Vinci robotics, Mako, Holmium Laser, and Hana table
• EMR: Cerner
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• ADN or BSN degree required
• Minimum 1 year of OR experience required
• AHA certifications required (e.g., BLS)
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

Additional Information

• Ortho or neuro OR experience is preferred
• Scrubs are provided via an on-site scrub machine; outside attire not laundered by the hospital is not permitted
• Orientation is offered twice monthly
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during this assignment
