Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Oncology/Diabetes unit position in Hermitage, TN, requiring at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience and a TN or Compact RN license.
Details
- Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 13-week travel contract
- Oncology/Diabetes unit in a hospital setting (6th Floor)
- 33-bed unit with patient ratios of 6:1 on days and 7:1 on nights
- Unit is staffed with 3 techs per shift; unit secretary available on day shift
- Equipment used includes IVs, Kangaroo pumps, and SCDs
- EMR: Meditech
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to other appropriate areas on a rotation basis when needed
Requirements
- Active TN or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted); certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
- ONC (Oncology Nursing Certification) required for all RNs working in Oncology
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required if currently licensed in Florida or Missouri)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
