Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) for a 13-week contract at a Level III Trauma acute care hospital, requiring ARRT(R) certification and experience in fluoroscopy and OR procedures.
Details
- Level III Trauma, acute care hospital with 286 staffed beds
- Radiology department covering inpatient, outpatient, OR, ortho, fluoro, and ER imaging
- Adult and/or pediatric patient population
- 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- On-call rotation required, including weekends
- Floating within clinical scope to OR, Ortho, Fluoro, Inpatient, Outpatient, and ER as needed
- Epic EMR (experience preferred)
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist
- ARRT(R) and SCRQSA certifications required
- AHA BLS and CPR required
- Fluoroscopy and OR experience required
- Radiation badge required — must be provided by the traveler's agency, as the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
- SC state license required if applicable
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs radiographic procedures requiring sound knowledge of anatomical positioning and physiology, with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any MUSC location must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are considered on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized
- All requested time off must be disclosed prior to consideration; approval is based on facility needs
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
- Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
- No parking cost
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September
