Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric critical care experience for a days shift position at a children's hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

Details

• Respiratory Care department in a pediatric hospital setting
• Children's hospital experience preferred
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week
• 48 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience required; 2 years in a critical care setting preferred
• RRT credential required (must be received within 12 months of hire)
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision
• BLS certification from the AHA required
• ACLS certification from the AHA required within 3 months of hire
• License required if applicable
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff and document patient responses in the computerized medical record
• Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients across all appropriate age groups
• Serve as a resource to medical staff and provide age-appropriate respiratory care
• Participate as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
• Responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and repairing respiratory equipment
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before becoming eligible for another contract
• This facility has strict compliance deadlines and candidates must be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon booking
