Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at a Level IV Trauma Center in Kenosha, WI, requiring 2+ years of CT experience including Canon/Toshiba scanner proficiency.
Details
- Hospital-based CT department serving inpatient, outpatient, and ED patients requiring CT services
- Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with 74-80 beds
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Third shift on a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation starting Thursdays through Wednesdays
- Thursday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday hours: 8:30 PM – 6:30 AM
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend included in the rotational schedule
- Holiday coverage required as needed by the unit
- No floating requirements
- No on-call or call-back requirements
- Epic EMR (experience required)
- Canon/Toshiba 40 and 80-slice CT scanners
- Medrad Stellant injector
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience with Canon/Toshiba scanners
- Minimum 2 years of experience with the Medrad Stellant injector
- Minimum 12 months of core work experience in CT, with most recent experience within the last year
- Active ARRT certification with CT registration required
- BLS certification required
- Active state license required, if applicable
- Proficiency in peripheral IV starts and IV contrast injection
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN collected within the last year required for consideration
- Candidate DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
- Candidate's middle name or initial required for consideration
Additional Information
- Works independently in the CT department with support from an on-site X-ray technologist
- Responsibilities include transporting patients to and from CT exams
- Department Supervisor available for support
- Orientation consists of at least one shift to learn departmental workflow
- First-time travelers considered on a case-by-case basis
- Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible for this travel position
- Local candidates are accepted
- Any color scrubs permitted
