Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step Down/Med-Surg Telemetry position in Milwaukee, WI, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30 (12.5-hour shifts)
• Placement will be on either a PCU or Med-Surg/Telemetry unit based on the greatest need and the traveler's skill set
• Patient population includes PCU and Med-Surg/Telemetry acute care patients
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Floating required within skill set onsite or to sister sites within 40 miles as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required (renewed yearly for Group A, every 2 years for Groups B–F)
• Minimum 2 years of PCU, Med-Surg Telemetry, or Acute Care experience required
• Candidates must possess a valid US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Required documents for consideration: 2 professional references, skills checklist, copies of certifications, license verification/Nursys, and a copy of your Driver's License

Additional Information

• Both Med-Surg and Step Down RNs are eligible to apply, as credentialing requirements are the same for both skill sets
• Local candidates are welcome to apply; note that candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a reduced pay rate
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
