Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown Intermediate Care position requiring at least 2 years of MS or IMCU experience and the ability to care for a diverse patient population on night shifts.

Details

• Step Down / Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) in a hospital setting
• Night shift: 19:00–07:30
• Every 3rd weekend or every other weekend (EOW) based on department needs
• Holiday coverage required (EOH)
• May be required to float within skill set to other units onsite or to sister sites within 40 miles
• Patient population includes stroke, cardiac, post-op (ortho, GU, GYN, general surgery), and general medical patients
• Cardiac drip experience preferred
• EMR: Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (both must be AHA-issued)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or IMCU experience required
• Adaptability to care for a wide variety of patient types, including cardiac drip management
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Full SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• 13-week contract
• Local candidates are accepted but are subject to a reduced pay rate based on proximity to the facility
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Any disciplinary actions on licensure require completion of a FACIS Questionnaire with supporting board documents
• COVID vaccination is not required
