Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience in coronary and peripheral interventional procedures, including permanent pacemaker implantation, for a 13-week assignment in Eureka, CA.
Details
- Acute care hospital Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab setting with 150 total staffed beds
- Daily caseload of 8–12 cases
- Procedures include coronary diagnostic and intervention, peripheral diagnostic and intervention, and permanent pacemaker implantation
- Diagnoses treated include coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmias
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM; no weekends required
- On-call is required for this position
- Travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
- ARRT certification required (RCIS is not accepted)
- Fluoroscopy Permit required — candidates with a pending permit may be considered if they have already applied at time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active professional license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- RTO must be approved at time of submission; any post-submission scheduling requests are subject to denial
- 30-hour orientation provided
- Scrubs are provided for Cath Lab staff
- Free parking on the first day; assignment parking details provided during orientation
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Block scheduling will be considered
- The facility has been rated one of America's 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention by Healthgrades and has received the American Heart Association's Bronze Get With The Guidelines recognition
- Located in Eureka, CA, within easy driving distance of 7 state and national parks, including the famous Redwood Highway
