Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel-experienced RN for an Operating Room position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of OR experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 61 total staff beds
• Operating Room unit with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Specialty case mix includes orthopedic, general, gynecological, and podiatric procedures
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• On-call is required: 1–2 weekday call shifts and 1–2 weekend call shifts per month
• No weekend requirement beyond on-call obligations
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floating between facilities within the state is expected of all travelers

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Proficiency in orthopedic, general, gynecological, and podiatric surgical cases
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Navy scrubs are required for all RN staff
• Parking is free in any unrestricted space
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; limited time-off requests may be considered
• All RTO requests must be disclosed prior to submission, as post-offer requests may be denied and failure to honor the agreed schedule could result in contract termination
• Travel experience in the OR is required — first-time travelers will not be considered
