Description

American Traveler is hiring a cross-trained Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 3+ years of experience across EP, cardiac catheterization, neurointerventional, and structural heart labs in Danbury, CT.

Details

  • Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting in Danbury, CT
  • 3x12 hour shifts with variable start times between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM
  • Participation in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation as required by department needs
  • High-acuity and complex cardiovascular procedures, including emergent and advanced interventional cases
  • EP procedures include ablations, device implants, generator changes, lead revisions, and leadless pacing systems (Micra, Aveir preferred)
  • Cardiac catheterization procedures include diagnostic and interventional cases (PCI, atherectomy) and mechanical circulatory support (Impella, IABP, temporary pacing)
  • Neurointerventional and peripheral vascular procedures include diagnostic angiography and endovascular interventions
  • Structural heart procedures include TAVR, MitraClip, PFO/ASD closure, and Watchman (preferred)
  • Advanced cardiovascular imaging technologies include ICE, IVUS, OCT, and 3D mapping systems (preferred)
  • Siemens imaging system experience preferred

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of Cardiac Cath Lab and EP Lab experience required
  • State of CT Radiographer license and/or RCIS certification through CCI required; license required if applicable
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS required
  • Proficiency in scrubbing EP procedures including ablations, device implants, and leadless pacing systems
  • Proficiency in scrubbing cardiac catheterization procedures including PCI, atherectomy, and mechanical circulatory support devices
  • Experience supporting neurointerventional and peripheral vascular procedures
  • Expertise in radial and femoral vascular access, sheath management, and vascular closure devices
  • Two professional references rated 'standard or above average' from a manager or above within the prior year in the current specialty

Additional Information

  • Cross-training across EP, cardiac catheterization, neurointerventional, and structural heart labs is strongly preferred
  • RCIS certification through CCI preferred for licensed radiologic technologists
  • Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced rate
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this health system may be subject to an eligibility review process before consideration
