Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel Nuclear Medicine/PET Tech for a 13-week assignment in Charleston, SC, requiring 2+ years of experience and CNMT or ARRT (NM) certification.

Details

  • Position is based in the PET/Nuclear Medicine department of a 321-bed acute care hospital
  • Equipment includes GE Discovery 630, GE Infinia, GE 8-slice PET CT scanner, and Xeleris 5 software
  • Documentation system is Meditech
  • Nuclear Medicine procedures include Nuclear Stress Tests, Cardiac Amyloidosis, MUGA, Parathyroid scans, V/Q with Pulmonex, GI Bleed, HIDA, Gastric Emptying, Bone Scans, DaTscans, Brain Flow, Renogram, Thyroid Uptake and Scan, and Cisternograms
  • PET CT procedures include Oncology, Prostate, and Amyvid PET scans
  • Schedule is Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (8-hour shifts); begin times may vary by up to one hour
  • Rotational weekend call required approximately every 4th or 5th weekend, with one weekday call per week
  • Potential to rotate to other shifts based on staffing needs

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine/PET CT experience, with active experience within the last 6 months
  • CNMT or ARRT (NM) certification required; ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) registry also required
  • BLS and ACLS required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
  • License required if applicable
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration; Canadian SSNs are not accepted
  • Must be highly organized with strong multitasking, time management, and autonomous work skills
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Facility is an HCA Healthcare hospital and a Level II Trauma Center located in Charleston, SC
  • AIDET patient experience training is required
  • Gray scrubs required
  • One professional reference required (two references required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
