Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a diagnostic radiology position requiring ARRT certification, BLS, and a minimum of 2 years of experience across fluoroscopy, OR, portable, and ED imaging.

Details

  • Work in a 373-bed acute care hospital within a diagnostic radiology department averaging 175 imaging studies per day
  • Serves inpatient, observation, outpatient, and ED patient populations
  • Provides imaging across ED, fluoroscopy, OR (C-arm and O-arm), and portable settings; team also rotates to an on-campus rehab facility for fluoroscopy, general x-ray, and portable imaging
  • EMR is Epic with Epic Radiant RIS; Epic experience is required
  • PACS system is Philips iSite
  • Equipment includes GE Precision 500D R&F rooms, Shimadzu RadSpeed (ED), Shimadzu MD8 & Konica mKDR Xpress portables, GE OEC Elite C-arms, and Medtronic O-arm
  • 4x10-hour evening shifts, 11:30 AM–9:30 PM, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
  • On-call required up to 2 shifts per month as needed
  • No weekend rotation
  • No floating required

Requirements

  • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in diagnostic radiology required, with most recent experience within the last year
  • Proficiency in fluoroscopy, OR imaging (C-arm and O-arm), portable imaging, and emergency department imaging required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Active state license required if applicable
  • Must be able to rotate through all imaging areas including ED, fluoroscopy, OR, and portables
  • Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
  • Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN, required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
  • Former employees of any AHSE facility who held a permanent position must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
  • Orientation includes 1 day of administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review) followed by up to 1 week of departmental orientation as needed
  • Travelers are expected to work 75% of applicable holidays
  • Department has Guest Services and Transport support for inpatient and observation patients
  • Required scrub color is black
  • Complimentary parking is available in surface lots and parking decks on site
