Description
American Traveler is hiring a High Risk OB Ultrasound Technologist for an outpatient Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic, requiring ARDMS OB certification and at least 1 year of experience with high-risk obstetric populations.
Details
- Outpatient Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic setting with 10 ultrasound rooms
- High-risk OB/GYN patient population including multiple gestation, TTTS assessment, AMA, pre-existing maternal health conditions, fetal anomalies, and abnormal fetal growth
- Approximately 10 patients per day per sonographer
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with no weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
- EMR: Epic and ASOBGYN (Epic experience noted)
- Equipment includes GE ultrasound machines (E8 and Expert 22) and Trophon
- May float to nearby OB/GYN clinic locations as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist in the specialty area, with most recent experience within the last year
- ARDMS OB certification required
- Current BLS required
- Fetal Echo certification preferred
- Ability to obtain nuchal translucency in 1st trimester scans
- Ability to obtain umbilical artery and MCA Dopplers
- Proficiency with fetal cardiac views including 4-chamber heart, LVOT, RVOT, aortic arch, ductal arch, SVC-IVC, and 3-vessel view (3VV)
- Ability to work independently
- License required if applicable
- Candidates must reside 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible
- 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN required for consideration
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform high-risk obstetric ultrasound exams including advanced fetal cardiac imaging, Doppler studies, and nuchal translucency measurements
- Supported by departmental leadership, peer sonographers, 2 on-site nurses, a receptionist, MA, and provider/NP support
- MFM physicians are on-site at all clinics except Thursday mornings, when APPs cover primarily follow-up cases — no radiologist is on-site
- Orientation is approximately 1 week, dependent on experience and skill set
- RTO requires supervisor approval
- Grey and black scrubs required; free parking available
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates previously employed in a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
- 13-week contract
