Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT/PET Tech) for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care Magnet-designated hospital in Mission Viejo, CA, requiring at least 6 months of PET experience and ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification with a CA license.
Details
- Acute care Magnet-designated hospital with 426 staffed beds
- Primary placement in the PET department, with potential float to Nuclear Medicine as needed
- Travelers may be required to float between facilities within the state
- Schedule is 4x10 or 5x8 hour day shifts with variable start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
- Weekends required on a rotating basis and may exceed every-other-weekend to accommodate unit needs
- Post-shift and rotating weekend call required; actual call expectations may vary based on experience level and will be discussed during the interview
- Charting via Epic (required)
- Siemens equipment experience highly preferred
- Free parking on-site
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine or PET experience; 6 months of PET experience is a hard requirement
- First-time travelers considered with 2+ years of experience
- ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification required, along with an active CA license (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification required
- Must be open to call shifts, including post-shift and rotating weekends
- Epic EMR experience required
- Siemens equipment experience highly preferred
- 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- PET certification is not required, but candidates must hold the required Nuclear Medicine certification and have hands-on PET experience
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be considered but at a different rate; contact your recruiter for details
- Scheduling requests related to outside employment will not be accommodated
- All RTO requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests are subject to denial and may risk contract termination
- Minimal RTO is preferred for this position
