Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Director of Surgical Services (Nurse Manager) leadership role requiring an MSN and a minimum of 3 years of Director-level experience in a surgical services setting.
Details
- Leadership position overseeing surgical services across OR, Pre-Op, PACU, Endoscopy, IV Services, Non-Invasive, and Cath Lab departments
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule
- On-call availability required via phone on weekends
- Business professional dress code required
- This is a temp-to-perm opportunity
Requirements
- Active TX RN license required (TX or Compact)
- MSN required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 3 years of Director-level leadership experience required
- 5+ years of nursing experience in surgical services
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay
- Flu vaccination required; no exemptions granted
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the full spectrum of surgical patient care across pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative areas
- Develops and implements surgical services policies, procedures, and education programs to ensure high-quality outcomes and improve patient experience
- Leads cross-functional collaboration with nursing, medical staff, and operational leadership to address surgical services challenges and launch new programs
- Monitors and benchmarks surgical outcomes, developing dashboards that track productivity, patient satisfaction, throughput, quality, and efficiency
- Ensures compliance with applicable legal and regulatory standards, including The Joint Commission requirements
- Candidates who have previously worked as a permanent employee at any facility within this health system may have restricted eligibility and should inquire before applying
