Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience to work night shift weekends in a Level I Trauma ED in Temple, TX.

Details

• Level I Trauma Emergency Department setting
• Night shift schedule: Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (3x12s)
• Performs diagnostic radiology procedures on ambulatory and inpatient populations across all age groups, including newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric patients

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist
• Must be proficient and confident working independently in a high-volume, fast-paced Level I Trauma ED environment
• Active BLS certification (AHA only) required
• ARRT certification required
• Active TX Medical Radiologic Technologist (TX-MRT) license required if applicable
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• DOB and SSN required for consideration
• Flu vaccination is mandatory; no exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Performs high-quality radiology procedures in accordance with exam protocol, including proper patient positioning, equipment setup, and exposure factor calibration
• Demonstrates knowledge of radiation dose reference levels, monitoring, and appropriate follow-up actions when thresholds are exceeded
• Screens individuals for safe department entry and ensures correct exam is performed on the correct patient using established identification protocols
• Maintains imaging records and relevant documentation in accordance with department standards
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Any scrub color is acceptable; denim is not permitted
