Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience, ARRT certification, and a Fluoroscopy Permit for a 13-week contract at an acute care hospital in Mission Viejo, CA.
Details
- 488-bed acute care hospital setting, Cardiac Cath Lab unit
- Strong preference for candidates with panning, circulating, and EP experience, in addition to heart cath experience
- Epic EMR — experience required
- Day shifts, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- On-call required approximately 8 days per month
- Weekends required at a minimum of every other weekend, likely to exceed
- Variable shifts scheduled as needed, not on a rotating basis
- May be required to float to a nearby sister facility in Laguna Beach
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
- ARRT certification required — RCIS credentials will not be accepted
- Current BLS and CA State Fluoroscopy Permit required
- CA state license required — license required if applicable
- EP experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with panning and circulating required, ideally in EP and cardiac catheterization settings
- Acute care hospital experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Perform cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures with a focus on panning and circulating roles
- All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Free parking available on-site
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate — contact your recruiter for details
- Candidates must have a minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration — post-offer RTO requests are not guaranteed
- Pending CA state license will not be accepted — license must be active at time of consideration
- Block schedule requests are subject to manager discretion
