Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with strong NMT/PET skills and research environment experience for a travel assignment in a multidisciplinary academic medical setting.
Details
- Inpatient hospital nuclear medicine department within an academic medical center
- Performs General Nuclear Medicine and/or PET/CT imaging
- Equipment includes Siemens Symbia, Intevo SPECT/CT, and Biograph MCT Flow PET/CT cameras
- Primary focus on supporting clinical research imaging, specialized nuclear medicine workflows, and radiopharmaceutical therapies
- Standard-of-care exams performed as needed in addition to research imaging
- Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (shift may vary slightly based on patient scheduling)
- On-call required approximately once every 9 weeks
Requirements
- Strong NMT and PET imaging skills required
- Prior experience in a research or academic imaging environment required
- Current BLS required
- ARRT (NM) or equivalent nuclear medicine certification required
- State license required if applicable
- 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years required for consideration
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and patient-centered approach
Additional Information
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to perform research imaging procedures and assist with radiopharmaceutical therapies
- Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate documentation to support other nuclear medicine technologists in performing the NM portion of research protocols
- Contributes to advancing patient care through innovative research while upholding high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence
- Candidates whose permanent residence is within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of submission — RTO requests made after submission will not be approved
