Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position at an acute care hospital and trauma center in Janesville, WI.

Details

• Hospital-based diagnostic imaging department at an acute care trauma center in Janesville, WI
• Performs CT procedures as the primary modality; may also perform radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical, and portable radiographic exams if assigned radiographer duties
• 3x12-hour night shifts per week, 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
• Weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation required
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program required; education verification required
• ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) registrations required
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required
• BLS/BCLS certification required
• Active state license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing diagnostic CT procedures, corroborating patient clinical history with the procedure, and ensuring documentation is available for radiologist interpretation
• Prepares and positions patients to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest, respecting patient comfort and ability
• Prepares and administers contrast media and maintains IV access as appropriate to procedures performed
• Provides patient education and practical instruction for students and partners
• Initiates basic life support when necessary and applies patient safety principles throughout all aspects of care
• Maintains supply and equipment inventory for assigned area
• Observes universal protocol, standard precautions, and appropriate patient identifiers
