Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Electrophysiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel contract in a pediatric cath/EP lab setting.
Details
- Work in a Level II pediatric trauma center with 1 combined Cath/EP Lab and 82 total beds
- Pediatric congenital diagnostic and interventional cases including LHC/RHC, PDA/VSD/ASD closures, septostomy, congenital structure stenting/ballooning, and collateral closure
- Pediatric EP cases including pacemaker implant/generator exchanges, loop recorder implant/removals, and EP studies with radiofrequency ablations for SVT, WPW, atrial tach, and PVC
- Role functions as circulator and patient monitor; sedation managed by Anesthesia
- Equipment includes Siemens Artis C-arm, Picom PACS, and Merge hemodynamic monitoring system
- EMR is Epic Cupid; experience preferred
- 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Call schedule includes 7 call shifts per 3-week rotation; weekday call runs end of shift to 7:00 AM the following day; weekend call runs end of shift Friday to 7:00 AM Monday
- Weekend call rotation is approximately 1–2 weekends per month (roughly every 3rd week)
- Holiday coverage is on-call only, included in the department call rotation
- 45-minute response time required for call; no sleep room available
- No floating required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrophysiology Technologist; prior pediatric cath lab experience preferred
- Current BLS and PALS required
- RCIS and/or ARRT certification required
- Current WA State Rad Tech and/or CISC license required; license required if applicable
- Experience as a circulator and patient monitor in EP and congenital interventional cases
- Familiarity with Siemens Artis C-arm, Picom PACS, and Merge hemodynamic monitoring preferred
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Two professional references from a supervisor or above (charge nurse, manager, director, or equivalent) required prior to start; one reference accepted at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Perform and assist with pediatric congenital interventional procedures and EP studies including ablations and device implants/exchanges
- Scrubs and lead aprons are provided by the facility; note that extended sizing is available for scrubs but not for lead aprons
