Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PCU Float position supporting inpatient units, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and prior travel nursing experience.
Details
- Supports multiple inpatient units including Med/Surg, Med/Surg Telemetry, and Progressive Care (PCU)
- Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Every other weekend required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant RN experience required — this requirement is firm
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidate must reside more than 110 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana; a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions
- Candidates should avoid any substances that could result in a positive drug screen prior to arrival, including CBD products
- Orientation follows a bi-weekly schedule
