Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position at a Level 3 trauma hospital in Hickory, NC, requiring CVICU experience and proficiency with advanced cardiac equipment.
Details
- Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract
- 8-bed CVICU unit on the 2nd floor of a 355-bed acute care hospital
- Adult and geriatric patient population specializing in CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotid procedures
- Patient ratio of 2:1 with occasional 1:1 assignments
- Equipment includes Impella, IABP, and CRRT
- EMR: Cerner
- Every other weekend required, or as needed to meet facility needs
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required per scheduled rotation
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN preferred
- Minimum 1.5–2 years of RN experience required
- Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience (post-orientation) required
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required at minimum
- Experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- AHA-issued certifications required
Additional Information
- Level 3 trauma facility that is home to a Brain Center, Cancer Center, Heart Center, Lung Center, and additional specialty service lines
- Orientation is offered twice monthly
- Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- Travelers who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- Any professional scrub color is acceptable
