Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Telemetry (M/S Tele) position requiring cardiac telemetry skills, an active MA RN license, and AHA-only certifications.

Details

• 41-bed Medical Telemetry unit (Davenport 7) in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psych, substance use disorder, GU, and GI cases
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4-5 on days, 1:5-6 on evenings and nights
• Day shift rotates between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, and 7p-7a; night positions are straight nights
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• 36 hours per week
• Floating to applicable units required when needed
• Charting system: Epic
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• BLS and ACLS certifications required — AHA only
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips required
• Skills required: cardiac telemetry, cardiac drips, TR bands, and hi-flow oxygen
• 2 professional references required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions
