Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist (Rad Tech - CT Scan) for a 13-week contract requiring ARRT certification, Epic EMR experience, and an IL IEMA Radiography License.

Details

• Outpatient radiology/imaging department (X-Ray/CT)
• Monday through Friday day shift, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
• No weekend or holiday shifts required
• No floating requirements indicated
• Epic EMR — experience required

Requirements

• ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS (AHA) required
• Illinois IEMA Radiography License required — license required if applicable
• Associate's Degree in a related field or a Certificate in Radiologic Technology required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant Rad Tech experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Performs CT and general radiographic procedures including patient positioning, image acquisition, and processing in accordance with department protocols
• Administers IV and oral/rectal contrast; recognizes and responds to adverse or allergic reactions
• Reviews radiology orders, patient history, and clinical data for accuracy and medical necessity
• Transfers and verifies image data in PACS and provides relevant clinical information for radiologist interpretation
• May be required to perform duties in other modalities within the department based on licensure held
• May assume Lead Rad Tech or Imaging Coordinator duties in their absence
• Assists in the instruction of students and new staff as needed
• Responsible for maintaining imaging equipment, supply inventories, and orderliness of the work area
• RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Candidates who have been continuously on assignment with this health system for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the system
