Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer with a minimum of 3 years of experience and ARDMS certification for a 13-week travel assignment in Nashua, NH.
Details
- Hospital-based cardiac sonography position
- Performs a variety of cardiac ultrasound procedures under physician direction, with results interpreted by a cardiologist or radiologist
- Day shift schedule
- Defined workweek runs Sunday at 12:01 AM through the following Saturday at 11:59 PM
- On-call rotation of approximately 1 week every 5th or 6th week
- One hospital holiday per year required, rotating annually
- On-call and holiday shifts may be swapped with other Echo Techs with supervisor approval
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer
- ARDMS (AB) certification required
- BLS required
- Active NH state license required if applicable
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited sonography program, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 35 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach as required by the role
Additional Information
- Assists cardiologists and physicians during invasive ultrasound procedures
- Responsible for documentation of patient exams and ensuring accurate exam charges
- Maintains medical supplies and prepares/cleans patient exam rooms
- Communicates professionally with patients, families, visitors, staff, and physicians
